GENERAL RAMONA KNOWLEDGE
What is a spritz?
A spritz is a low-alcohol cocktail with roots in Northern Italy during the early 19th century when the Hapsburg Empire still occupied the region. Spritzes are traditionally made with a bitter liqueur and sparkling water. RAMONA is a lightly sparkling wine - based spritz made from organic grapes and organic citrus fruit.
What is the difference between wine and a wine spritz?
Wine is an alcohol made from fermented grapes. A wine spritz is a spritz that uses wine as the base instead of the traditional liqueur (which has a base of a spirit instead of wine).
A wine spritz is lower in alcohol and calories than a regular glass of wine.
Why Italy?
With a wine history dating back more than 3,000 years and a climate ideally suited to viticulture, organic farming and delicious wine has always been part of Italy’s history.
Why cans?
With sustainability practices at our core, cans are the more environmentally responsible choice over bottles. There are lower carbon emissions produced by shipping cans versus bottles and more cans are recycled than bottles. 70% of wine bottles ended up in landfills while the global recycling rate on aluminum cans is 69%.
Cans are also great and easy to take on all your go-anywhere, do-anything adventures!
INGREDIENTS
Why does organic matter?
Organic matters to us because we believe that consuming organic products, farmed without toxic chemical additives, is better for our bodies. We also believe that committing to organic farming practices is an important investment in our world for future generations. All of our grapes and citrus fruits used in production are organically farmed with the highest standards and are certified by Suolo e Salute, an EU certification agency based in Italy. This has been true since Day One.
Also, organically farmed ingredients just taste better.
What are sulfites and are they bad for you?
Sulfites are a natural preservative that occur as a by-product of fermentation during wine making. Sulfites work as an important naturally-occurring preservative in preventing oxidation and maintaining a wine’s freshness.
Sulfites occur naturally in foods including egg yolks, black tea, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, onions, strawberries, and blackberries. They are often maligned in wine because winemakers must declare their existence on the label (as opposed to other chemical additives). Food products that have significantly more sulfites - ketchup, raisins, white flour, for example, don't get a bad rap because sulfites aren't required to appear in the ingredient list. Fun fact - dried fruits have about 10 times more sulfites than wine!
While some people are indeed sensitive to sulfites (notably asthmatics), most of the time consumers are likely reacting to either the high alcohol or chemicals, pesticides and other additives in the wine, not sulfites. If you can handle moderate amounts of white flour, ketchup and raisins, give low-alcohol, thoughtfully-grown, pesticide/herbicide/fungicide-free wine, like RAMONA, a try.
What is the nutritional information for RAMONA?
RAMONA’s ingredients are straight-forward and simple: wine made from organically grown grapes, juice from organically grown ruby grapefruit, Sicilian lemons or blood oranges, extract from organic grapefruit peels and a touch of citric acid (Vitamin C - a natural preservative), and slight carbonation. That’s it!
Do your products contain malt?
Unlike spiked seltzers, none of our products contain malt. The alcohol is 100% organic wine.
Do your products contain gluten?
No! RAMONA is 100% gluten free.
Is your wine Kosher?
Unfortunately, our products are not certified kosher.
Are your products Vegan?
Yes! All of our products are 100% vegan.
Spritzes are often bitter - is RAMONA?
Because we use all organic, Italian citrus fruits to flavor the spritzes instead of bitter liqueurs, we like to think of RAMONA as balanced and refreshing - not too bitter, not too sweet.

What is your flat rate shipping?
It is $15 flat rate shipping per package. A single package contains up to six 4-packs of RAMONA (24 cans). Orders over six 4 packs will incur additional flat rate shipping charges per package.
How does product ship? At what speed?
Product ships from NY and CA via UPS ground shipping. Should you need your RAMONA faster, there are options to expedite for a charge that depends on your delivery location.
Where do you ship product?
We ship to 40 states in the continental US and Washington D.C. The states we ship to currently are: AK, AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, LA, MA, MD, ME, MN, MO, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY.
When do you process orders?
Please note, we do not process orders on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays.
What forms of payment are accepted?

Can I get a discount?
Yes! We offer 10% off your first order when you sign up for our email newsletter. We also offer 10% off orders of a case (twelve 4-packs), or multiple cases. Please note, discounts cannot be combined.
What is your return / refund / exchange policy?
Wrongly shipped or defective merchandise may be returned for exchange of product(s) of equal value upon presentation of the following: sales receipt and original packaging (unopened cans with wine to be evaluated).
If the Products you ordered arrive damaged:
- If the damage is visible, do not accept the order from the shipping company.

What Is The Spritz Society?
The Spritz Society is a quarterly subscription bringing the best of Italian spritz culture to your doorstep. Join for a discount off each shipment, plus other really great perks (more on that below!).
How much does it cost?
There is no annual membership fee. Your credit card will be charged when each of your quarterly deliveries ship. You will be charged in line with the subscription you selected:
- The Casual Spritzer
- 4 x 4-packs delivered quarterly with a 10% discount
- You will be charged $72 + $15 flat rate shipping each time your order ships.
- The Spritz Enthusiast
- 6 x 4-packs delivered quarterly with a 21% discount
- You will be charged $95 + $15 flat rate shipping each time your order ships.
- The Spritz Fanatic
- 12 x 4-packs delivered quarterly with a 26% discount
- You will be charged $199 + $5 flat rate shipping each time your order ships.
Can I use a discount code?
Because Spritz Society subscriptions are already significantly discounted, RAMONA codes and promotions cannot be applied.
Who is eligible to join?
You must be 21+ to purchase. The Spritz Society is available in the continental USA in the following states: AK, AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, LA, MA, MD, ME, MN, MO, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY. Unfortunately we cannot ship The Spritz Society to AL or HI at this time, nor can we ship internationally.
When will I receive my deliveries?
Your first order will ship out within one week of your initial order. Subsequent orders arrive quarterly, in June, September, December, and March.
Can I customize my flavors?
Absolutely! Feel free to make your subscription your own—RAMONA is all about #winewithoutrules. You will receive an email one (1) week prior to your order being shipped with the option to customize your order. Simply reply to that email with your flavor selections for your upcoming delivery!
If we don’t hear from you or if you prefer some guidance, we’ve created recommendations for each subscription which we’ll plan to send.
How do I update my member details?
Current contact, billing and shipping information must be provided and kept up to date by whomever purchases the Spritz Society subscription. To make changes, log in to your account and update the fields you wish to change. If you have any questions or want to confirm changes were received, please contact us ramona@drinkramona.com. Please note: the customer is responsible for shipping charges should delivery location change once the order has shipped.
How do I cancel?
Cancel anytime, no questions asked. Email ramona@drinkramona.com should you wish to cancel your membership.
